Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro international airport

Day 2-3: Arusha—Manyara Ranch conservancy

Two nights in Manyara Ranch Private Conservancy.

Explore Manyara private conservancy, which sits within the Manyara –Tarangire national parks migration corridor, and its surrounds in ways that allow you to get closer to the African bush than within national parks, such as on bush walks and cultural visits as well as guided day and night game drives. Activities include learning to track animals with the Maasai, visits to a local school or day trips to other attractions outside the conservancy like Tarangire national park. The area is home to lion, cheetah, giraffe, elephant, lesser kudu and impala. For those who will love to experience real Maasai culture away from the touristic village visit here is the bang for these.

Day4-5: Manyara Ranch—Ngorongoro Highlands

Two days exploring the highlands and the crater.

Leaving the Manyara ranch conservancy behind you gain altitude and todays first stop is the Gibbs farm for lunch followed by a farm walk, coffee plantation and coffee tasting tour, and for those who want to by coffee these is the right place. After we head to our Accommodation “Plantation farm lodge” for two nights, rests like a green oasis on the soft, red-brown hills amidst the vastness and serenity of East Africa. Seamlessly nestled in the blossoming garden, the lodge’s individually furnished rooms and suites exude a feeling of comfort and relaxation. Furnished with great attention to detail, the personal touch of this owner-run lodge can be seen and felt everywhere, and the warm and friendly service leaves no wish unfulfilled. The next day leave the lodge and head to the crater and spend your day exploring all the dramatic scenery and wildlife of the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area. The largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, its magnificent topography and fertile soils attract a wide variety of plains game and predators in what makes for a thrilling amphitheater of wildlife viewing. The Big Five are all present here including Black Rhino and you can spot flamingos on the central soda lake, zebras grazing on the plains, lions lazing in the tall grass, leopards lying in the trees, as well as big “tuskers” in the forests.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Highlands—Serengeti national park (central)

Exploring the oldupai gorge

After a relaxed breakfast you leave and head into the Ngorongoro conservation, and our first stop will be the “cradle of human kind” Visit the world famous archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge, also known as the Cradle of Mankind. The earliest remains of Homo sapiens were discovered here by Mary Leaky and anyone with an interest in mankind’s ancestors will be fascinated by this extraordinary place. Explore the quaint little museum and marvel at the rugged landscape. This pale anthropological site in the western of Ngorongoro crater is a steep-sided ravine composed of two branches that have a combined length of about 50 km and are 90 meters deep. Deposits exposed in the sides of the gorge cover have yielded a treasure trove of fossil remains. After these remarkable stop head to the endless plains of Serengeti with game drive en-route to your accommodation “Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge” for Dinner and overnight.

Day 7-9: Serengeti National park (Central) -- Serengeti National (North)

Three days exploring the home to the world’s last remaining large mammal migration

Leave the camp at 6:00 with breakfast and explore the central Serengeti arguably the best area in Africa To see the big cat’s, lion, leopard and cheetah, with breakfast you will stop and enjoy your breakfast on the open plains of the Serengeti and by around mid-day return for lunch and proceed to the northern Serengeti. The three days will be used to explore the central, and the northern reaches of the Serengeti on safari, tracking the great array of game and wildlife that this vast area offers. If you’re here in the months of between July-October, the great migration of wildebeest and zebra are here, this is the region where the herds are at their most concentrated as they seek to cross the Mara River to reach the open grasslands beyond, and it’s where (if you’re lucky) you’ll see iconic river crossings. It’s also an area of untamed natural beauty, of rolling hills, rivers, forests and open plains. The area is also home to Africa’s big five and other sightings may include cheetah, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe and a multitude of vultures and stocks.

Day 10: Serengeti national park—Arusha.

The day begins with breakfast at the camp in Serengeti, and followed by your last game drive before your guide drives you to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha, after arriving you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International airport for your onwards arrangement.
