Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro international airport

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro international airport, our driver will take you to Arusha Serena Hotel is unlike any other hotel in Tanzania with authentic, bespoke experiences that stir the traveller’s soul while showcasing the breathtaking tranquillity of our surroundings. Day 2-3: Arusha—Manyara National Park

Leaving Arusha Serena Hotel Resort & Spa after a relaxed breakfast we drive west passing some Maasai villages as your guides gives the orientation of Tanzania people and culture, before long you enter Lake Manyara national park. Nestled under the Great Rift Valley is a small game area with the biggest diversity of habitat than the big Serengeti national park, arrive at your camp “Lake Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge”, settle in for two nights, enjoying morning and afternoon game drives plus exciting night drives. A spectacular part of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara’s rich variety of natural habitats are set around the soda lake, itself a haven for clouds of flamingos and other water birds. This is a paradise for birding enthusiasts! The forested valleys and open savannah plains support a large elephant population as well as giraffe, buffalo and many antelope species. There are fewer predators but topping the list are Lake Manyara’s lions, famous for their habit of climbing trees.

Day 4-5: Lake Manyara –Serengeti national Park.

Leaving Lake Manyara After breakfast with a nice packed picnic lunch to sustain you on the way we gain altitude as we drive through the Ngorongoro highlands and the conservation area, and before long the open plains of the legendary Serengeti unfold before you, as you pass some young Maasai herds-men taking care of their goats and sheep’s, its vast open plains stretching towards. This is where the famed Great Migration takes place at certain times of year – over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle migrate a vast circular route, following the rains to fresh pastures and the soft grass shoots that nurture their new born calves and foals. Driven by instincts as ancient as the Serengeti itself. Even without the great migration around game viewing is good throughout the year, and the area is home to lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal, elephant, hippo, buffalo, giraffe and some time the endangered black rhino. Spend your two days exploring the area in great company of some of the best guide with bush dinner, balloon safari and walking safari (optional) which adds to the excitement of the bush.

Day 6-7: Serengeti national Park-Ngorongoro Highlands.

Leaving Serengeti after a half day of game viewing on our last day we make our way to the Ngorongoro rich highlands, before long we will be at our Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for two nights. The next day we make our way through the Ngorongoro conservation and descend down to the crater, With a density of game rarely seen anywhere in Africa, combined with breathtaking scenery, the magic of Ngorongoro is evident long before you reach the crater floor. This is one of the few places in Africa where the Big 5 can be seen in a single game drive, and there is much more to observe. Herds of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra are resident here while smaller predators like caracal and serval cats are often seen along with lions and their eternal enemies, spotted hyena. The forests and marshes are the domain of elephants but the crater’s wetlands belong to hippos and thousands of flamingos.

After a full day of adventuring and a delicious picnic lunch on the crater plains, you return to the lodge’s elegant comforts with time to digest the wonders you have seen.

Day 8-10: Ngorongoro Highlands—Tropical Island of Zanzibar.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara airstrip for your scheduled short-haul flight to Zanzibar. After landing at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, you will be transferred by road straight to the Zanzibar Serena Hotel.
