These itinerary takes you through some of Tanzania owe-inspiring wildlife destination Tarangire, Lake Ndutu, Serengeti and Ngorongoro to deliver a dramatic big cats, big game, birding and nature walk in Serengeti. Your 9-day’s itinerary will kick off discovering these natural gems in Tarangire national park, rightly billed as the adrenalin elephant’s paradise of Africa because of the superb sighting and shear number. From there, you journey to the heart of Tanzania moves to Lake Ndutu and enjoy classic full day of birding and searching for the big cats lion, cheetah and leopard. Serengeti will be filled with great opportunities to look for the big cats and other big games even when the great migration is not their game viewing is always spectacular, either on game viewing or gliding silently on a balloon safari (Optional), to Ngorongoro. The populations of black rhino is making a comeback thanks to special conservation projects.

Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro international airport

Day2-3: Arusha—Tarangire national park

Two days safari exploring “elephant paradise

Explore the incredibly diverse landscape of Tarangire National Park. Famous for its magnificent Baobabs and high numbers of elephants and with the largest populations of animals migrating here between June and September, the dry season provides an awe-inspiring spectacle of wildlife. Spend your two days exploring the park habitats from the life-giving Tarangire River, acacia woodland, plains and swamps for the great sightings of lion, cheetah, leopard and the rare sightings of wild dogs. The best time to witness predators is from the months of June-October when the seasonal migration of wildebeest, zebra and elands are at their best, this is the one place in Africa where the fringe-eared Oryx and long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed.

Day 4- 5 Tarangire –Ndutu area

Two days exploring woodlands, Lakes, swamps and plains

Spend your two days mostly exploring the western section of the Ngorongoro conservation area on safari tracking the great number of big cats and wildlife that this vast area offers. If you’re here at the right time for the great migration (depending on the season), this is the region where the herds are at their most concentration between the months of December to March, because it’s the area where the wildebeest drop their young once in the month of end of January-February. But even when the migration is not around game viewing is great with sightings of lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and rare wild dogs common, to top on these off-road is allowed and very few cars from the months of May-November. It’s also an area of untamed natural beauty, of plains, Lakes, woodlands, marsh and open plains.

Day 6-7: Ndutu—Serengeti national park.

Two days exploring central and eastern Serengeti

The Serengeti is one of the world’s most famous national parks, annually hosting the Great Migration of over 1.3 million wildebeest and 300,000 zebra who follow the grass to and from the neighboring Maasai Mara in Kenya, as well as an incredible variety of wildlife which is resident year-round. If you here in the month of April-June you may lucky to witness the spectacular phenomenal of present wildlife wonders. The central and eastern part of Serengeti is well known for great sighting of lion, leopard and cheetah and these is all what we will be unveiling, The big cats dairy, the area is also home to elephants, hippos, giraffe, hyena, hyrax and a host of antelope species.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park-Karatu.

Leave the camp at around 7: 00 AM alongside your guide and a well-trained armed park ranger and join on a walking safari and tread across the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park, with great knowledge of the area and wildlife, it is the perfect setting to appreciate nature. The slow pace of the walk combined with the interpretative skills of the guides will open your eyes to a new and fascinating world. Stroll along paths walked by untamed wildlife and immerse yourself into the raw essence of life in the bush.

Spend 2-3 hours out in the bush, with the chance to encounter wildlife, such as giraffe, buffaloes, impala, and ostrich. These guided walks bring you closer to nature, leaving lasting impressions from an ancient culture, and an appreciation for a simpler way of life. After return to the camp for breakfast and proceed with game viewing on your way to Ngorongoro conservation and end up to your accommodation Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro crater –Arusha

Alongside your personal guide, explore the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Magnificent geography and fertile soils lure huge herds of plains game and predators in what makes for a multi-colored and thrilling amphitheater of wildlife. The Big Five are all present here and you can spot flamingos on the central soda lake, zebras grazing along the plains, lions lazing in the tall grass and leopards in the trees of the crater rims, enjoy your picnic at the crater flour followed by an afternoon drive to and proceed to the airport and connect your flight back home.
